Run a Google X-ray search
Last updated Aug 18, 2026
After these steps you can update status on people who appear in the current Google results, without opening every LinkedIn tab first.
Before you start
- A Boolean X-ray string (Build a Boolean search)
- Chrome with the Modri extension
- For team status and save: signed in, workspace on trial or a paid plan
- Visited badges work even without a Modri account
Paste the X-ray string into Google
Run it like any search. Typical strings include site:linkedin.com/in.
Open the Modri panel
Use the Modri button on the page. A right-hand panel lists LinkedIn /in/ profiles visible on this results page. It overlays Google; it does not squeeze the results aside.
Read status on the current page
Each row shows workspace Status and Position when you are signed in. Under result cards you also get inline status/position controls and Open profile.
Only the current page is read. Changing Google pages loads the next set. Modri does not paginate in the background or upload the HTML.
Save or open the full profile
Update status from the row, or open the same profile modal you use on LinkedIn for notes and activity.
What happens next
Saved people show up in Profiles. Local Visited badges still only live in your browser.
If something goes wrong
- No panel or empty list → Google X-ray troubleshooting
- You can see Visited badges but cannot save → you need a trial or paid workspace, or billing is read-only
