Use Message Stash

Save personal LinkedIn openers in Modri and insert them into LinkedIn’s composer with the first name filled — you still send.

Last updated Sep 11, 2026

Message Stash keeps the lines you actually send. Key notes are about the person. Message Stash is what you write when you reach out.

Modri inserts into LinkedIn’s composer. It does not send messages or run sequences.

Before you start

  • Signed in to Modri (web and extension, same account)
  • Chrome extension installed

Save messages in the web app

  1. Open Message Stash in the sidebar (/app/messages).
  2. Add the lines you actually send — you get 3 personal templates until you subscribe to Team.
  3. Pick a color so you can spot the line quickly on LinkedIn (same palette as statuses and positions). Click the swatch on the list to change it without opening the editor.
  4. Put {First name} where the candidate’s name should go (stored as {{first_name}}).
  5. Drag to reorder — that order is the picker order on LinkedIn.

After signup — and during the 14-day Team workspace trial — you can keep 3 personal templates. A paid Team seat lifts the cap. Existing messages stay available if a paid period ends; you just cannot add more until you subscribe again or delete below 3.

Insert on LinkedIn

  1. Open LinkedIn’s message box (profile message, thread, or connection note), or open Message Stash from the Modri profile panel.
  2. Click the lime icon in the composer toolbar, the small stash icon on the profile panel, or press the extension shortcut.
  3. Click the message you want — each row shows its color swatch. Drag the grip to reorder — same order as /app/messages.
  4. Review the text. If we could not read a first name, fix {{first_name}} yourself.
  5. Send in LinkedIn.

You can add a new line from the picker with the small + (same personal library as the web app; new rows get a default color until you change it in /app/messages). Edit, delete, and recolor stay in /app/messages.

The same icon appears on LinkedIn’s Add a note to your invitation dialog (left of Cancel). LinkedIn still limits that note to 300 characters.

If no message box is open, Modri copies the filled text and asks you to paste.
